Nestled at the base of Grass Mesa on the impressive Colorado River, Rifle is located at the bottom of the "River Valley."  The world's largest oil shale deposit locally known as the "Book Cliffs" create a majestic skyline to the west of our town.  Various mountain parks, a championship 18 hole golf course, and a treasure trove of outdoor activities lend Rifle it's unique charm.
